Paint it (matt) black

Always had a thing for black.
More like matte black.
For my bike i used matte black wrap on the tubes and valvoline tectyl 190 black for a rubber like look on triple trees, rims, spokes and fenders.
Tricky part is to get the hang of spraying with the 190. Fully open tends to give drops, but about half open gives a nice coarse rubber look. To finish it off i put on a few layers matte black paint to seal and fixate the 190.
I opened a clogged 190 can and put paint in a jar for retouching bolts etc.

Drag to tape off the wheel and needs retouching after changing tires. But i'm happy with the result.

Fender with skull, but rubber look is clear i think.

For rods and stuff heat shrink sleeves are the answer. For putting that on curved rods or tubes, fixate at end and pull while heating with blowdrier to avoid wrinkles.
The bar ends or anything else not covered can be painted with the 190 from the jar.
For nuts, bolts and washers, blackening by glowing and dropping in used oil can be used. But only for untreated steel. Chromed and galvanized steel does not blacked evenly and nicely as plain steel will. (use 190)
If anybody has a nice and easy technique for matte blackening, please let me know.
